Komm 2024 nach Salzburg und arbeite mit uns und am Center for Human-Computer Interaction.
2024 können wir drei subnetAIR Einheiten (á 1000 €) zu je max. 6 Wochen zwischen Februar – Juli, September – November anbieten.
Wie sieht eine Residency bei subnet aus?
Wo: subnet und Center for Human-Computer Interaction, Salzburg
Einreichung: Die Bewerbung soll nicht länger als drei Seiten sein und aus Konzept, Lebenslauf, Referenzen und bevorzugtem und möglichem Zeitrahmen bestehen. Bitte bei der Einreichung als Betreff „subnetAIR 2024“ angeben.

Zielsetzung:
Das Programm fördert aktiv Künstler:innen und verschafft ihnen Öffentlichkeit. subnetAIR wirkt dem Engpass an Produktions- und Präsentationsräumen entgegen und senkt mit der Zurverfügungstellung von Infrastruktur und Know-How in unserem Tätigkeitsbereich Barrieren zugunsten einer Realisierung fundierter Projektideen.
Ablauf:
Nach der vorab definierten Frist beginnt die Residency nach Möglichkeit mit einem öffentlichen Kennenlernen (Meet the Artist) und endet mit einer Präsentation und Dokumentation der entstandenen Ergebnisse.
Rahmen:
subnet stellt Künstler:innen, das Arbeitsbudget (€ 1.000), den Arbeitsraum und das Know How für Projekte aus dem Bereichen Medienkunst – mit Fokus auf Physical Computing, Hardware-Hacking and Tinkering – zur Verfügung.
Seit 2016 findet subnetAIR in Kooperation mit dem Center for Human-Computer Interaction der Universität Salzburg statt. Das HCI bietet den KünstlerInnen ein lebendiges Umfeld, gefüllt mit Technologie-Enthusiasten, kritischen Denkern, exotischen Mensch-Maschine-Schnittstellen und viel Ausrüstung und Raum zum Arbeiten.
Das Center for Human-Computer Interaction:
Das Center for Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) ist ein interdisziplinäres Forschungszentrum an der Universität Salzburg. Aktuell untersuchen etwa 30 ForscherInnen das Zusammenspiel zwischen Mensch und Technologie, um neue Interaktionen zu ermöglichen und wünschenswerte Zukunftsszenarien zu erforschen. Come to Salzburg in 2024 and work with us and at the Center for Human-Computer Interaction.
In 2024, we will be able to offer three subnetAIR units (€ 1000 each) of max. 6 weeks between February – July and September – November.
What does a residency at subnet look like?
Where: subnet and Center for Human-Computer Interaction, Salzburg
Application: The applications shouldn’t be longer than three pages and consist of concept, curriculum vitae, references and preferred and possible timeframes. Please indicate „subnetAIR 2024“ as the subject line when submitting.

Target setting:
The program actively promotes artists and gives them publicity. subnetAIR counteracts the bottleneck in production and presentation rooms and, with the provision of infrastructure and know-how in our field of activity, reduces barriers in favor of realizing project ideas.
Procedure:
After the pre-defined deadline, if possible, the residency will start with a public get-together (Meet the Artist) and end with a presentation and documentation of the results.
Frame:
subnet provides artists, the work budget (€ 1,000), the working space and the know-how for projects in the field of media art – with a focus on physical computing, hardware hacking and tinkering.
Since 2016 subnetAIR takes place in cooperation with the Center for Human-Computer Interaction of the University of Salzburg. The HCI offers artists a vibrant environment filled with technology enthusiasts, critical thinkers, exotic man-machine interfaces and lots of equipment and space to work with.
The Center for Human-Computer Interaction:
The Center for Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) is an interdisciplinary research center at the University of Salzburg. Currently, about 30 researchers are investigating the interplay between humans and technology in order to enable new interactions and to explore desirable future scenarios. (https://hci.sbg.ac.at/)
