TALK:
„The Artwork as a Living System – from Artificial Life to Interactive Art: Creating Human-Computer Interaction Systems“
Since 33 years Christa Sommerer and Laurent Mignonneau collaborate to create interactive art installations which combine natural and artificial environments. Their works often use innovative interface designs and human-computer interactions.
In 2022 they presented their big retrospective exhibition called „The Artwork as a Living System“ (1), which brings together artworks that display artificial growth, evolution, generative design and A-Life.
In this lecture Christa Sommerer will present selected artworks from the past years as well as most recent projects.
