TALK:
„Protocols for Unknown Bodies“
This talk explores the space where scientific procedures, rituals, and social systems begin to resemble one another. Rather than presenting finished conclusions, it asks how protocols shape bodies, behavior, and collective imagination. Moving between laboratory practice, performance, and speculative inquiry, the presentation examines moments when established structures become unstable, revealing alternative ways of producing knowledge. The audience is invited into a process that remains intentionally unresolved.
SPEAKER:
Mehrta Shirzadian is an artist and researcher working between microbiology, computation, and performance. Her practice investigates how scientific methods, technological systems, and cultural rituals organize bodies and knowledge. Combining laboratory experiments with artistic research, she develops works that question the boundaries between observation, participation, and speculation.
