Versi-pellis [versiˈpɛlːis]: Searching Earth for Alien Habitable Environments

(Vortragsspache: EN)

subnetTALK 2023 on the topic of „all inclusive“.
Insight and dialogue in the field of tension: art, research, technology.

TALK
How can we be architecting on the scales of nature? The talk is devoted to the vision to expand and recalibrate the boundaries and imaginaries that define how we live together and construct the built environment by deploying artificial intelligence.

SPEAKER

Ingrid Mayrhofer-Hufnagl is an artistic scientist and experimental thinker. In her work, she explores the intersections between architecture, engineering, computation, art, and nature, generating new ideas and exposing new connections that can be “found in translation.“ She received her Ph.D. in architecture from the University of Innsbruck, where she also holds a postdoctoral position leading grant-funded research projects on artificial intelligence for architectural and urban design. Currently, she is an artist-in-science-resident at the JRC of the European Commission, where she is researching remote sensing technologies and the spectrality of nature, questioning anthropocentric time scales and processes.

subnetTALK
Insight and dialogue in the field of tension: art, research, material.

subnetTALK is an open dialogue format. subnet invites artists and researchers to give an impulse on topics in the field of tension between art, material and research. This impulse is the basis for the following dialogue. Both impulse and dialogue will be recorded and broadcast by FS1. Rüdiger Wassibauer moderates the dialogue.

subnetTALK is a cooperation between the Center for Human Computer Interaction (University of Salzburg) and subnet.
