TALK
Creative processes are usually fragile and intimate. How can a safe space that lets the mind bloom, be opened? What kind of conditions and impulses does a person need to start a creative process? Sebastian Frisch seeks to open such spaces, during exhibitions, performances, and workshops. In his talk, he will speak about his ideas of an artwork as a reference experience and give insights into V2_’s Open_Lab, where artists are invited to talk about their fascinations and projects in the making
SPEAKER
Sebastian Frisch sees himself as a storyteller, whose artworks invite his audience to experience poetic aspects of our surroundings. His research is concerned with spatial listening, (bio) acoustic processes, and multi-sensorial environments. As an artist, musician and developer Sebastian interweaves natural processes with digitally crafted components to form hybrid instruments, which unveil a fascinatingly detailed world around us.
Besides his own practice he is a freelance project manager at V2_, Lab for the Unstable Media, where he organises the Open_Lab format and guides various Lab projects.

subnetTALK
Insight and dialogue in the field of tension: art, research, material.
subnetTALK is an open dialogue format. subnet invites artists and researchers to give an impulse on topics in the field of tension between art, material and research. This impulse is the basis for the following dialogue. Both impulse and dialogue will be recorded and broadcast by FS1. Rüdiger Wassibauer moderates the dialogue.
subnetTALK is a cooperation between the Center for Human Computer Interaction (University of Salzburg) and subnet.
